These pages are a resource for Applications Engineers, setup and maintained by Andrew Betts of Iconda Solutions.

The primary audience of the pages are the participants of Iconda's Engineering Consulting and Applications (ECAS) course. However, they may be of use to any engineer involved in customer support.

My objectives in setting up the site are:

  • to keep in touch with ECAS participants and encourage them to build on their training
  • in return, get feedback and ideas that will drive the further development of ECAS
  • to provide something useful to the Applications Engineering community in general

Experience shows that AEs have little time for anything that is not critical to their daily support tasks.

For this reason, this site focuses on existing literature, providing reviews of books, articles and sites. I aim to make it easier for AEs to find useful information.

One or two original articles and tools are also posted, and I may provide more in response to specific requests.

Soft skills, relevant to all AEs, are emphasised.

Thank you.
